Self Drive

Choose when and which Adventure to live in one or more southern African nations.

Your Self-Drive will take you, by choice, to discover South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and southern Zambia, through itineraries chosen ad hoc by eXplora Expedition.

Choose where and how to spend your nights, tented camps, campsites, lodges, among the most beautiful and fascinating of all Africa.

If you are a couple your Self-Drive formula may be the “You & Me” one, that provides an eXplora Expedition tour leader during the trip.

TYPE: Self Drive in 4×4

WHERE: South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Zambia

ACCOMMODATIONS: Tent equipped on car 4×4 / Camp-Site / Lodge

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Ability to adapt to driving left, driving on unfathomed tracks, ability to use satnav and/or map, adaptation to life in outdoors.

PERIODS: May to mid-November for Namibia/Botswana/Zimbabwe/Zambia – again for South Africa and Lesotho.

WHAT IS INCLUDED 

– 4×4 car equipped with camping or not equipped according to the accommodations chosen;
Possible formulas:
– Economy: only tent in equipped car, breakfasts, self-managed lunches and dinners;
– Comfort: combined between tent in the equipped car and lodge, breakfasts included in the lodges and NOT included in the camps, other meals NOT included;
– Lodge: Lodge with breakfast included in B&B 

– Transfer to and from arrival and departure airport;
– Insurance during the trip in 4×4;
– Basic insurance for the 4×4 medium;
– Service h24 eXplora Expedition;
– Local phone card;
– Taxes.
