Chile Gran Norte Expedition
Chile is the country with the strongest real and potential tourist growth in the South American area: a little neglected until a few years ago, international travelers have finally discovered all its beauties, its naturalistic riches and the infinite possibilities it offers for any type of tourism. With a unique physical structure, Chile is over 4,000 km long from the North to South, between the Pacific Ocean and the Cordillera’s Ande, never exceeding 200 km wide.
Throughout the Chilean territory, populous cities and hundreds of virgins, deserts and evergreen forests, rushing streams and quiet lakes alternate seamlessly. In Chile you will find practically every type of environment, every situation you have dreamed of and desired. And everything is absolutely authentic, unique, intense.
Considered among the best “adventure destinations” on the planet, Chile offers the best starry skies in the world as in the Atacama Desert (the droldest on the planet) … a country I dedicate enthusiasts of nature and the discovery of the most uncontaminated nature.
The journey takes place in the far north of Chile, the area annexed at the end of the last century when Chile defeated the Peru-Bolivian Confederation in the Pacific War. Domestic flight and arrival in Calama continuing by land towards the arid Atacama desert, the remote lagoons Misquanti and Miniques, the Valley of the Moon and the geothermal area, famous for the numerous geysers that release gushes and vapors. Then north to Iquique, admiring pintados geoglyphs and the ghost village of Humberstone (UNESCO).
