Itinerario
DAY 1
Arrival in Vietnam
Arrival at Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi) and meeting with Explora's team leader and the Italian-speaking local guide. Depending on the arrival time, check-in at the hotel and/or first city excursion.
We will begin our discovery of Hanoi with a pleasant walking tour through the historic districts, crossing the old French colonial quarter, known for its charming architecture. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay at a hotel in the heart of the capital. Accommodation at the Golden Legend Boutique Hotel – DBB treatment (half board with breakfast and dinner).
DAY 2
Full Day a Hanoi
After breakfast, a day entirely dedicated to visiting the city of Hanoi. We will begin with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex, which includes the main building (viewable only from the outside), the Presidential Palace, "Uncle Ho's" stilt house, and the famous One Pillar Pagoda, built in wood in 1049 and inspired by the shape of a lotus flower.
Subsequently, we will move to the Tay Ho district to visit the Tran Quoc Pagoda, located on the shores of West Lake. It is one of the oldest and most fascinating pagodas in Vietnam.
Following this, a visit to the Temple of Literature, a symbol of Vietnamese feudal education. Lunch at a local restaurant.
DAY 3
Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Bich Dong
After breakfast at the hotel, departure by private vehicle for Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam under the Dinh dynasty (968-980). During the visit, you will explore the two temples dedicated to the kings dating back to the 10th century, which still preserve all their beauty. You will admire the refinement of their art: sculptures, wood and stone carvings created by skilled Vietnamese artists dating back to the 17th century. Lunch at a local restaurant.
DAY 4
Ninh Binh - Halong - Baia di Halong
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Halong Bay with arrival at Tuan Chau tourist port, where you will proceed to board the cruise that will host you with a suggestive overnight stay on board. During navigation, Vietnamese and international lunch, with the opportunity to admire the breathtaking landscape of the bay, crossing the most beautiful areas: Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock Islet and Three Coconuts Island.
In the afternoon, visit to Sung Sot Cave, the largest and most magnificent limestone cave in the bay, whose name means "cave of wonders". The spectacular stalactites and stalagmites, formed over millions of years, are the reward for the steep climb on Bo Hon Island.
Return to the boat, relaxation and dinner on board.
DAY 5
Baia di Halong - Hanoi e Volo per Hue
Seeing the bay in the morning is a wonderful experience! Start the day with a Tai Chi session on the terrace, to gather positive vibrations before enjoying breakfast. This will be the best way to start the day with energy. After breakfast, visit Titop Island, a small limestone island famous for one of the best beaches in Halong Bay. After a dip in the crystal-clear waters, climb to the top to admire the splendid panoramic view of the bay.
This will be the last excursion before returning. During the transfer, you can enjoy a brunch and relax on the terrace, before disembarking and proceeding with the car transfer to Noi Bai airport. Domestic flight to Hue. Upon arrival at Phu Bai airport, private transfer to your hotel for relaxation.
DAY 6
Visita Città di Hue
After breakfast, visit to the majestic Imperial City, where 13 emperors of the Nguyen dynasty lived between 1802 and 1945. It is the only imperial city still visible in Vietnam. Despite the passage of time, it preserves the beauty of its original Vietnamese-Chinese architecture. Subsequently, we will continue to the graceful Pagoda of the Celestial Lady, perched on the top of a hill overlooking the Perfume River. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, a short car journey to a luxurious river valley, where seven tombs were built for seven Nguyen emperors. Visit to the Tomb of Tu Duc, fourth emperor of the Nguyen dynasty, considered one of the most beautiful, with a complex of pavilions and an elegant garden.
During the return, a stop at Dong Ba market, where a wide range of local and artisanal products are sold.
Return to the hotel, dinner at a typical restaurant and overnight stay.
DAY 7
Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An - Visita di Hoi An
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Da Nang crossing the beautiful countryside along the central coast of Vietnam. During the journey, several stops are planned, including one at the Hai Van Pass (Cloud Pass), from where you can admire Lang Co beach, one of the most beautiful and secluded in Vietnam. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Arrival in Hoi An, with a walk through the heart of the ancient city. You will walk through narrow streets lined with charming old houses, testimonies of a flourishing period of the country's foreign trade, dating back a few hundred years. With its architectural and historical values, Hoi An, formerly known as "Faifo," was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. During this walk, you will visit the most beautiful places in Hoi An, such as the Japanese Bridge, the Chinese Temple, the ancient house, and the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall.
Return and dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight stay at a hotel in Hoi An.
DAY 8
Hoi An - Da Nang - Saigon
After breakfast at the hotel, relaxation before heading to Da Nang airport for the domestic flight to Saigon.
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, private transfer to the hotel for relaxation. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight stay in Saigon.
DAY 9
Tunnel di Cu Chi - Visita di Saigon
After breakfast, departure to discover the Cu Chi Tunnels, an immense network of 200 km of underground galleries and narrow passages dug by hand by the Viet Cong to take shelter and relax during the "American war machine". Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Saigon in the afternoon to explore the city.
Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Saigon.
DAY 10
Saigon - Delta del Mekong - Ben Tre - Can Tho
After breakfast, departure for Ben Tre to discover the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival in Ben Tre, you will board a private local boat that will take you on the river. You will cross the canals and visit the artisanal coconut production workshop: you will see how all parts of the coconut are used and taste coconut candies with honey tea, while listening to the traditional music "Don Ca Tai Tu", a cultural heritage of humanity. The navigation continues on the Cai Son River, until visiting a village of Nhon Thanh, where local families specialize in the production of rush mats. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afterwards, a short but pleasant boat ride in a coconut plantation, which will take you through preserved and romantic landscapes.
Disembarkation and departure for Can Tho crossing the vast landscapes of the Mekong Delta. Arrival in Can Tho in the late afternoon, dinner and overnight stay.
