When is the trip confirmed?
How can I join a trip?
To join an Explora Expedition trip/expedition you must complete and send the registration form included in the program to the following address: info@exploraexpedition.com
What does the trip fee include?
Each downloaded or received program includes two specific sections: WHAT IS INCLUDED / WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED.
Can trip prices change?
No, Explora Expedition trips do not include any modifications nor price adjustments.
What type of accommodations will I stay in?
Will I have to share a room during the trip?
Normally all Explora Expedition trips involve sharing a room. The possibility of choosing a single room will be available only and exclusively if specified in the received program and with an additional fee.
Can I book a private room?
Only if specified in the travel program.
Airline ticketing
Can I get help purchasing my flight?
Yes, Explora Expedition offers affiliated travel agencies that can help you in choosing your flight for the selected trip.
When is the best time to purchase flights?
If you will be part of an expedition, we suggest waiting to coordinate with the other participants in the group. This will allow you to have a lower fare if tickets are purchased “cumulatively” or to share airport transfers if possible, in case your location is the same as others or is at a short distance; otherwise, you can purchase the flight whenever you deem it appropriate.

How does payment work?

What payment methods are accepted?
Bank transfer to the South African account (fees entirely at the customer’s expense) or electronic payment by credit card upon request.
I have a problem with the payment, what should I do?
If you are trying to make a payment via bank transfer, it may be that South Africa does not appear in the non-European countries of your online banking system, so it will be necessary to go to the bank and perform the operation at the counter.
What is the IBAN of Explora Expedition?
Preparing for departure
Can I meet my travel companions before departure?
Yes, as soon as you have joined an Explora Expedition trip and once 50% of the assigned places have been filled, if you wish, you can be added to the trip’s WhatsApp group, thus having a way to interact with the participants; the group moderator will be the Explora Expedition Team Leader and the group will have the sole purpose of exchanging information related to the trip.
What documents and visas do I need for my trip?
The necessary travel documents are described in the received program; you will need to send a copy of your passport along with the registration form which, at the time of travel, must have at least two blank pages and 6 months remaining validity.
How do I choose the type of luggage?
In most cases, it is always better to use soft suitcases for Explora Expedition trips, especially for those “on the road” and “in the water”; also, a spare day backpack would be good practice.
Cancellation policy
What cancellation policy do you have?

ATTENTION! It is very important, when taking out travel insurance, to submit the policy downloaded from the previously described address to the insurance company in order to have all guarantees of reimbursement and coverage.
What happens if I cancel my trip?
You must notify Explora Expedition by sending a cancellation email to: info@exploraexpedition.com which will provide you with the relevant penalties, based on when they receive your cancellation.
Is travel insurance provided?
EExplora Expedition does not include or sell an insurance policy against trip cancellation and/or medical baggage in its trips; you will have to independently purchase it based on the policy provided by Explora Expedition.
